The World Leaders Symposium Committee in cooperation with Chief Executive Magazine has developed a series of Global CEO Roundtables, at which CEOs meet with the President or Prime Minister of a country to discuss and reach mutual conclusions on key commercial issues facing the new millennium. The information developed during the Roundtable discussions becomes a feature article in Chief Executive Magazine, which is the “Club Journal” for Fortune 1000 CEOs worldwide.

Chief Executive Magazine annually conducts the CEO of the Year Award Ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange. Past recipients include Larry Bossidy of Allied Signal, Andy Grove of Intel, the late Robert Goizuerta of Coca Cola, David Glass of Wal-Mart, Wayne Calloway of PepsiCo, William Gates III of Microsoft, Donald Petersen of Ford, Roy Vagelos of Merck, Jack Welch of General Electric, John Chambers of CISCO, Sandy Weill of of Citigroup and Michael Dell of Dell Computers.

The first Global CEO Roundtable was hosted by the Prime Minister of Singapore at the President's official residence, the Istana in Singapore. Present were thirty leading Asian and U.S. CEOs. The second Global CEO Roundtable was a combination European Union and NATO event held in Brussels.

World Leaders Symposium Committee Programs have included special events such as a wonderful evening at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C. which focused on the European Union. Presiding at this event was Ambassador Hugo Paeman, Head of Delegation of the European Commission to the United States, Ambassador Vernon Weaver, U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, and Ambassador Jaakko Laajava of Finland, representing the Presidency of the European Union.


Chairman Mark Grobmyer presents distinguished speaker award to His Excellency Naresh Chandre, Ambassador from India to the United States at a World Leaders Committee meeting, held at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C.

Also making a presentation was Dr. Alex Pentland, Director of the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which is working with the World Leaders Symposium Committee to develop technology for a special World Leaders Symposium Internet Site, which can feature simultaneous e-mail translation in many languages.
